May 22 Message From Rev. Tam

Beloved Children of God,

There is something powerful about a Word from God, spoken in one season, and still speaking in the next. That Word is meant to journey with us. It matures as we do. On Sunday, we heard Peter say, “And I remembered the word of the Lord.” That past reflective remembering helped Peter stay aligned with what God was doing in the present.

We need that, too. There are days when our next steps are shaped by what we’ve already been given. Everything does not need to be new. The Word of God is powerful and enduring enough to walk with us again and again throughout every stage in our life.

This week, I want to encourage you to keep God’s promises in sight. The promises spoken through Scripture. The ones that still stir your heart. The Word’s that have carried us through season after season such as:

“I will never leave you.”
“Peace, I give to you.”
“You are mine.”
“My grace is sufficient for you.”
“I am working all things together for good.”

These words are Truth. They meet us in joy, in questions, in the ordinary and the unexpected. Keep them close. Believe what they offer you and walk forward in hope with the promises of God in view.

With grace and every good hope,

Rev. Tam
