After fifteen years of faithful, prophetic ministry at Orchard Covenant Church, Pastor Nancy is retiring. She and her husband, Wally, are moving away from New England, to be near children and grandchildren. We are happy for them for this new chapter in their lives, but we will surely miss them. It is impossible to enumerate the ways in which their ministry has affected our lives. Pastor Nancy has faithfully preached, but just as importantly lived out her Christian discipleship among us all for these years. She has counseled us, challenged us, wept with us, rejoiced with us, grieved with us. She is a neighbor, a friend, a colleague, a mentor, a discipler, a servant. She has never pointed us to her, but only to Jesus. Husband Wally’s servant heart has been evident for all of these years as well, doing many things to improve our lives together, often going unnoticed and unrecognized. As with Pastor Nancy, it has never been about him, but only about our Lord, and his obedience to His call to serve.
The Ebners’ last Sunday with us is January 12. All are welcome to join us at the church on Saturday, January 11, beginning with a meal at 1PM, followed by a program in the sanctuary.
